The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has established a framework for falls prevention and detection products, systems and support services. It covers medical consumables and medical devices for use by participating public authorities across the UK. The procurement is complete and the framework was awarded to eight suppliers: Adaptive Care Solutions Ltd, Ascom UK Ltd, Canary Care Global Limited, Gait and Motion Technology Ltd, Lifespan Medical Ltd, Medequip Assistive Technology Limited, S&E Caretrade and Verso Vision Oy. The award was made on 23 September 2026. The awarded value is recorded as £0.01, while the estimated framework value is £19.5 million excluding VAT (£23.4 million including VAT). The framework term is 6 October 2026 to 5 October 2034. It was run as an open procedure, with one lot. Evaluation weighted technical quality at 80%, commercial criteria at 10% and social value at 10%. Call-off contracts may be awarded with or without further competition. Notice Description

Commercial Procurement Services (CPS) wishes to award a framework agreement or agreements for the provision of Falls Prevention and Detection Products, Systems and Support Services which will allow Participating Authorities to procure these products or services from a multi-supplier framework. The proposed framework will allow Participating Authorities to procure these goods in a legally compliant manner, with the assurance that Suppliers have met rigorous criteria.

Options: The right to additional purchases while the contract is valid. It is intended that it will be reopened every 24 months (approximately 90 days before the anniversary of the Framework Commencement Date) as the Framework Host deems necessary. At these points, incumbent framework suppliers will have the opportunity to revise their Tender, or they may leave their offer as per their last framework tender submission. The diagram below is provided as an illustration of when the open framework is intended to be reopened.
