Notice Information
Notice Title
Seat contamination covers - 20 appliances
Notice Description
Cleveland Fire Brigade are currently soft market testing with a view of undertaking a procurement exercise for a supplier to provide and install seat contamination covers. Fire services required to have seat contamination covers often referred to as 'Clean Cab' Solutions. These seat covers are specialized, non-porous shields used on fire appliance seats. They prevent toxic soot, combustion particulates, and off-gassing from exposed PPE from absorbing into standard porous seat fabrics, significantly reducing the risk of dermal absorption and secondary cross-contamination. These seat covers should be wipe clean, have non-hazardous flame retardants and have decontamination capabilities. They should be able to with-stand frequent wipe downs.
Planning Information
The Brigade would like to understand more from suppliers that have knowledge and experience of delivering the service required. We would like to know if any suppliers have any successful implementations with Fire and Rescue services. Please contact mheum@clevelandfire.gov.uk if you are interested in a possible procurement opportunity. This is a pre procurement engagement only, seeking to understand supplier capability. This does not commit Cleveland Fire Brigade to any future procurement exercise.
