Summary of the contracting process

Trafford Council is conducting a soft market testing exercise for a project titled "Trafford 13609 - Healthy Food Environments for Children, Young People (CYP) & Families". The exercise is currently in the planning stage, with a focus on understanding what the market can offer in health and social work services, particularly in the UKD region of the United Kingdom. This initiative targets service delivery and potential challenges in implementing a £210,000 annual valued service over a three-year contract period anticipated to start on 4th January 2027. Key dates include a submission deadline for interest by 12 noon on 13th July 2026.

This testing phase creates significant opportunities for organisations with expertise in health and social work services, especially SMEs and voluntary, community and social enterprises. By expressing interest and participating in this exercise, businesses can influence the forthcoming procurement process, potentially positioning themselves advantageously for future tender opportunities. It invites businesses to demonstrate how they might deliver relevant services, thereby supporting broad market insight and refining service feasibility for Trafford Council.
