Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the project titled "Design and Installation of Walking Trail in Berinsfield" is being conducted by South Oxfordshire District Council. The project is currently in the planning stage, with a focus on market engagement. The council is seeking input from suppliers who specialise in designing and installing walking trails. The industry category includes landscape architectural services and signage. This procurement process is located in the United Kingdom, specifically in the region identified as UKJ14. Key dates include a deadline for responses by 5pm on 3 August 2026, with the project starting from 1 October 2026 and ending on 31 March 2027. The procurement method is a preliminary market engagement for information gathering, and participation does not confer any advantage or disadvantage in future tender processes.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses in the landscape architecture and signage industries to engage with the council and provide input on the project scope, costs, and timeframes. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly well-suited to participate in this non-committal stage. Although this market engagement exercise does not guarantee a forthcoming competitive tender, it allows businesses to influence the project budget and specifications, thus preparing them for potential future competitive opportunities with South Oxfordshire District Council or similar organisations.
