Summary of the contracting process

Gloucestershire County Council is in the planning stage of procuring support services for refugees, with an invitation to the open market anticipated in August 2026. The process is set within the ‘Health and social work services’ category, identified by CPV code 85000000, and the services are to be delivered within the UKK13 region. A market engagement event is scheduled via MS Teams on 23rd July 2026, from 11 am to 12 pm, enabling potential suppliers to understand procurement requirements and timelines. Interested businesses must confirm attendance by 22nd July 2026, as detailed by the Council’s representative, Peter Salmon.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses specialising in support services, particularly those experienced with holistic, person-centred assistance models. Companies that can offer tailored and trauma-informed approaches to supporting refugee integration will find this contract well-suited to their capabilities. It aims to build self-reliance and resilience among refugees, and participation could enhance a business’s profile within public service contracts, strengthening ties to local community initiatives and contributing to social impact in Gloucestershire.
