Summary of the contracting process

Mayor’s Office for Policing & Crime is commissioning a custody-based youth work and social support service for young adults aged 18 to 25. The service will engage people while they are in police custody, using timely, trauma-informed and relationship-based support to address unmet needs, build resilience and improve stability, mental health and wellbeing. It will help participants access appropriate services and opportunities, including education, training and employment, while reducing vulnerability to violence, exploitation and offending. The work supports the Violence Reduction Unit’s public health approach to violence reduction and aims to improve longer-term life chances. The service is delivered for the Mayor’s Office for Policing & Crime in London, with delivery classified within the UKI area.

The procurement has reached tender: the buyer invited offers through an open competitive flexible procedure. This is a single-lot services contract.
