Adoption Counts, through STAR Procurement, is procuring adoption support services for children, young people and families in Greater Manchester. Lot 1 requires a relevant professional qualification from a recognised professional body and an assessment led and delivered by a suitably qualified professional; professional oversight alone is not acceptable. The assessment must identify need and result in a therapeutic plan for a child or family. Lot 2 requires equivalent recognised professional qualifications and the capability to deliver the therapeutic intervention identified through an assessment. Providers should therefore be able to demonstrate appropriately qualified practitioners, sound assessment or therapeutic practice, and the capacity to deliver services for children and families across Greater Manchester. Quality of the proposed approach is central to competition.

We expect providers to hold the relevant professional qualifications from a recognised body, to undertake the assessment, which must be led and delivered by a professional (professional oversight only is not permitted) and result in a therapeutic plan for a child or family.

Therapeutic Support

Delivery of an intervention identified as a result of an assessment. We expect providers to hold the relevant professional qualifications from a recognised body, to deliver the identified therapeutic support.
