University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is acting for the West Midlands Imaging Network, which is considering future teleradiology services. A subsequent notice is expected on 14 September 2026. The proposed single-lot service is expected to run from 1 February 2027 to 31 January 2029, with a possible extension to 31 January 2030. The engagement will suit established teleradiology providers with experience delivering remote clinical reporting and medical imaging services for NHS or comparable healthcare networks. Suppliers should be able to demonstrate suitably qualified clinical professionals, robust reporting capacity and the operational resilience needed to support a regional service across multiple locations. Relevant capability may include secure digital image transfer, integration with imaging and reporting systems, reliable turnaround arrangements, clinical governance, quality assurance and escalation processes. Providers with experience designing or operating scalable teleradiology service models are well placed to contribute useful feedback on the Network’s future requirements. The immediate activity is market testing rather than a bid opportunity: suppliers can help shape the eventual service model through the questionnaire, but any future procurement would require a separate response.

This advertisement is for market testing only, to gauge market interest and influence future procurement direction. It is not being used to assess provider capability. This advertisement is issued under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) of the Healthcare Services Regulations 2023. The Network is seeking feedback from potential providers that are suitably qualified and experienced in delivering Teleradiology services. Following review of the returns, there may be a future Market Engagement event.

Planning Information

Engagement is being conducted through the completion of a short questionnaire. The Network would value providers expert insights and feedback. The information provided and discussed, unless classified as confidential, may be used in the rationale for the final service model. The Network is not bound to take on board providers' information that will result in the delivery of this service. The online questionnaire will be live between 3rd August 2026 and 24th August 2026. If you are interested in providing feedback, please register via Atamis (project C460042) with your completed questionnaire by no later than 24th August 2026 at 2pm. Please note that any information provided as part of this engagement exercise is indicative only. All factors may change up to the point of the formal procurement process and should not be relied upon as exact data at this stage. The Network is not bound to comply with responses to this market testing and is also not bound to follow up with any procurement process. Please note that a completed questionnaire does not count as registration for the full procurement process, which will be separately advertised via the Find a Tender website. Interested providers will need to respond to the full procurement process if/when advertised, whether they complete a questionnaire or not, or any subsequent market engagement event the Network may decide to run and should not rely on their response to this EoI. All information shared by providers is deemed to be non-confidential.
