Summary of the contracting process

The Mining Remediation Authority (MRA) is currently in the planning phase of a public procurement process titled "Ground Stabilisation Works by Drilling and Grouting Framework Renewal". This process falls under the 'works' industry category and involves significant ground remediation activities set to span across the United Kingdom including England, Scotland, and Wales. The procurement is currently in its planning stage with the deadline for market engagement responses on 21 August 2026. The buyer, a central government public authority based in Nottinghamshire, is seeking to gather information to develop the procurement strategy for the stated framework.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses engaged in ground stabilisation and remediation, particularly those with expertise in drilling, pressure grouting, and geotechnical engineering services. Companies possessing recognised industry accreditations such as ISO standards, CHAS, or Constructionline would find this framework particularly fitting. The framework is well-suited for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as larger corporations capable of working on extensive infrastructure projects. Engaging in this initial market engagement could position businesses advantageously for future tender activities scheduled to commence with contract opportunities expected to be fully operational from March 2028 to February 2032.
