Grounds Maintenance Contract
Notice Description
The Council is seeking suitably experienced and competent contractors to provide grounds maintenance services in accordance with the Council's specification. The principal services required are: * Grass cutting and trimming of urban grass verges; * Trimming and pruning of hedges, verges, trees and shrubs; * Rights of way clearance; * Cemetery maintenance; * May Balfour Gardens maintenance; and * Bin clearance. Additional services may occasionally be required, including: * Trimming and pruning of hedges, verges, trees and shrubs not forming part of the regular scheme; and * Siding out of overgrown footways or other Rights of Way not forming part of the regular scheme.
Lot Information
General Grounds Maintenance
General grounds maintenance, including verges, open spaces and pathways. Services include grass cutting and trimming, maintenance of hedges, verges, trees and shrubs and Rights of Way clearance, together with associated services identified in the specification. Tenderers applying for Lot 1 will be required to demonstrate how they will maintain the Council's verges, open spaces and paths, including how biodiversity will be encouraged while maintaining a tidy appearance where it matters and ensuring safety for all.
Renewal: Two individual additional years by mutual agreement
Cemetery MaintenanceCemetery maintenance. The contractor will be required to maintain the cemetery in accordance with the specification and ensure that the space remains suitable for quiet reflection and remembrance and is respectful and inclusive for all.

May Balfour Gardens MaintenanceMay Balfour Gardens maintenance. The contractor will be required to maintain May Balfour Gardens with care and respect at all times. Maintenance work must be carried out sensitively to minimise disruption to visitors and protect the peaceful nature of the site.

Waste ManagementWaste management and bin clearance. The contractor will be required to ensure that bins are collected in a timely manner and that collected waste is appropriately managed. Tenderers must demonstrate how they will minimise the environmental impact of the service.
