Summary of the contracting process

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), a central government public authority in the UK, invites tenders for the project titled "ESF DCT consensus support." This tender process, currently in the 'tender' stage, falls under the industry category of research and development services and related consultancy. The objective is to provide independent expert review and validation of NICE's developing Evidence Standards Framework for Digital Health Technologies. Located in Manchester, the procurement follows an open competition method, with gross value estimated at £48,000. Interested suppliers should submit their proposals via the Atamis e-sourcing portal before the tender deadline on 26th August 2026, with an enquiry period ending on 19th August 2026.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in research and consultancy services, particularly those with expertise in digital health technologies. Companies, especially SMEs, that excel in providing structured expert consensus processes and collaborative consultancy, are well-placed to compete. This engagement not only offers a chance to work closely with a prominent national institute but also contributes to shaping a pivotal framework in the digital health sector. Successful suppliers will assist NICE in refining and validating the draft framework, with the project contract scheduled to start on 30th September 2026 and conclude by 26th March 2027.
