NCC Commercial Services t/a Cyson Cymru is procuring the design and installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects for Newport County Council. The works support the council’s aspiration to achieve carbon Net Zero by 2030 and cover parts of three sites in Newport, Wales: Newport High School in Bettws, St Joseph’s Roman Catholic High School in Duffryn, and the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales. The requirement includes solar panels, solar installation and associated roof-covering works. It is classified as works and is divided into three site-specific lots, allowing suppliers to target individual projects or the wider programme.
