        "description": "Wallingford Town Council, working in partnership with Historic England, seeks a suitably qualified archaeological and heritage consultant to prepare an Archaeological Management Plan and a costed specification for HE1 capital works across the Scheduled Monuments within the Council's public parks in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. The sites covered are the Wallingford Town Walls, the Saxon burh (town) defences, and Wallingford Castle and the Motte. These are nationally important Scheduled Monuments, and elements of the Town Walls are recorded on the Heritage at Risk Register. The work is intended to inform and enable future conservation works, including measures to limit erosion, manage vegetation and shrub coverage, and address unstable trees, while protecting buried archaeology and the historic character of the sites. The appointed consultant will be expected to assess the monuments, set out a management approach, and produce a clear, costed specification suitable to inform a subsequent, separately procured works programme.                             "description": "Professional standing and technical capability The work must be led and project-managed by an experienced archaeologist who is, or is working within, a Registered Organisation of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA), adhering to CIfA professional standards and guidance. Suppliers must be able to assemble and manage a suitably qualified and experienced team (including relevant sub-contractors) capable of delivering the full scope of the brief, which may include archaeological, ecological, structural engineering (conservation-accredited) and forestry input. Suppliers must be able to provide CVs for key personnel delivering the project and examples of comparable work on heritage or scheduled monument sites. Insurance Suppliers must hold, or commit to obtain prior to commencement of the contract, the following minimum levels of insurance: Employer's (Compulsory) Liability Insurance of PS5 million (not applicable to sole traders); Public Liability Insurance of PS1 million; Professional Indemnity Insurance of PS1 million. Suppliers will be required to self-certify these insurance levels as part of their submission. Sub-contractors Where sub-contractors are used, the principal contractor must engage and monitor their work in consultation with the Council and Historic England, and ensure all sub-contractors are suitably qualified and experienced.
