The Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales is seeking to enter into a contract to support the operational delivery of the Mental Health Triage Service by providing clinical leadership and service management,to ensure persons in mental health crisis and/or distress are provided with the most professional and appropriate support and intervention at first point of contact, and that Section 136 of the Mental Health Act is used appropriately by officers.

Procurement Information
This is a voluntary ex ante transparency (VEAT) notice. This notice is to indicate that the Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales intends to contract with Cwm Taff Morgannwg University Health Board for the provision of a Mental Health Triage Service. The contract will run for a duration of three years, with the option to extend for two one year extensions. The justification for the VEAT notice is that the services can only be delivered by an organisation with full access to NHS Wales medical records.
