Notice Description

Dementia support is delivered by paid Dementia Support Workers who work with people with dementia and/or their carers, to improve understanding of dementia.The service will provide an individualised, accessible, information and support service that is separate from statutory provision. In addition, Dementia Support Workers will work to strengthen and build upon existing support networks.The service includes and will provide specialist dementia and community support for people with Young Onset Dementia.The service will enable access to opportunities for groups of carers and people with dementia to come together for mutual support and for carers to benefit from a supportive education programme.The service will provide guidance for the Carer and training for professionals concerned with the care of service users with Alzheimer's and other dementia related illness.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
