Bridgend County Borough Council wishes to award this service that will respond to the needs of children, young people and their families with disability related support needs.The service will provide a distinct focus to ensure the specific needs of families with disabilities are provided for.The key elements of the disability support programme will focus on:* Provision of professional advice and guidance on managing the effects of disability on the family* Support for siblings of disabled children and young people to enable them to thrive* Appropriate parenting support that meets the needs of and supports those parents/carers with coping strategies for challenging behaviour* Promoting independence and resilience in the community
