NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board wish to inform the market that they intend to award a contract for the provision of fire alarm service / maintenance of Protec system at the University Hospital of Wales (UHW) for a period of 36 months. The system is a Protec design that has evolved over many years and is now mixture of old and new technology thus has become an extremely bespoke system to service and maintain. Allied to this the system is a 'closed' protocol system requiring specialist software and expertise to keep serviceable. The authority is applying a 10 days standstill period to allow suppliers in the marketplace an opportunity to appeal if they believe they have the capability to meet the Health Boards unique requirements. the closing date is set for 10/10/2022.
