Notice Description

Following a pilot end of life fishing gear recycling scheme in Wales in 2021-22, Welsh Government are seeking to roll-out a multi-year contract to build on the successes of the this scheme.The pilot scheme currently operates at the following ports; Swansea, Milford Haven, Fishguard, Cardigan, Holyhead and Conwy. This proposed scheme would be expected (as a minimum) to continue to facilitate these ports. The contractor would put in place the necessary infrastructure and bilingual signage at ports and be responsible for the collection and recycling. The types of fishing gear to be recycled would be determined by the contractor and gear that can be recycled within Wales or the UK is preferred.
