You are invited to attend to gain information regarding Swansea Council's aim to procure high-quality, 1 -1 Communication Support for People who are Deaf or have Dual Sensory Loss.The Service will be commissioned for Individuals on a spot purchase basis following a statutory assessment of need, and referral by the Service Purchaser.Communicator Guides and Communication Support Workers will need to be able to communicate fully with those they support, usually this is through the medium of British Sign Language.Support may include help with everyday tasks such as shopping, dealing with mail, attending GP appointments and engagement in social opportunities. Support should be inspiring and flexible, enabling people to live as full and independent lives as possible, at home and in the community.The Council is aspiring to develop current services and is therefore keen to hold this provider session, a key aspect of the session will be considering the possibility of supplier collaboration to deliver services.
