Notice Description

The Drill Hall in Chepstow requires a like for like replacement roof. Funding has been sought through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund however there is a short timescale to tender, appoint and complete the work by 31.3.24.The current roof has numerous leaks and has been patch repaired.The structure is not Listed but stands within a Conservation Area.The slate roof covering to the main pitched roof is in the region of 100-150 years old and may be original to the construction of the property.The slates have been sealed externally with a mastic sealant inorder to prolong their life, and that the slates are fixed to battens which in turn are fixed to timber boarding directly onto the steel-framed roof structure, with no intermediate layer of under-felt.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=135874.
