BackgroundNHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) Laundry Services supplies linen for every NHS premises within Wales. Currently 3 of the laundry sites have Lavatec Presses with obsolete controls. These presses require an update the their controls in order to make each machine more reliable thus decreasing the risk of a break down and increasing efficiency to the service.The 3 Lavatec presses which this tender are concerned with are:Green Vale Laundry (Cwmbran)This is a Lavatec Press type: LP 571, serial number 571,0898 and was manufactured in 2003. The press is designed to press loads of 50Kg and is connected directly to a 50Kg Lavatec CBW.Llansamlet Laundry (Swansea)This is a Lavatec Press type: LP 581, serial number 581,0154 and was manufactured in 2004. The press is designed to press loads of 50Kg and is connected directly to a 50Kg Lavatec CBW.Glan Clwyd Laundry (Glan Clwyd Hospital, North Wales)This is a Lavatec Press type: LP 572, serial number 572,124 and was manufactured in 2006. The press is designed to press loads of 50Kg and is connected directly to a 50Kg Lavatec CBW.All works must be carried out by a competent person who must follow the on site rules set out in the site induction.
