OverviewThe Foundation require a suitably qualified Project Manager & Quantity Surveyor to progress the scheme onto a rounded RIBA 1 such that it can be presented to the National Lottery Heritage Fund and other funders as part of a coordinated and compelling application for development funding in order to progress. In the first instance, the appointment is only for Project Manager & Quantity Surveyor services up to RIBA 1. Services thereafter will be subject to further competitive procurement to meet funder requirements; it is anticipated that Project Manager & Quantity Surveyor services for RIBA 2 - 7 inclusive will be tendered in line with public procurement requirements with a break clause at the end of RIBA 3 where the contract will be renewed subject to funding and satisfactory performance.The Project Manager & Quantity Surveyor are required to support the development of the project up to the preparation of a National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) Development Stage bid targeted for submission in August 2025. The Project Manager will be required to arrange the appointment of the Design Team (separately tendered) and to coordinate their work, and the work of any other consultants appointed, such that there is a coherent, comprehensive and compelling project developed to RIBA 1 level of detail ready for August 2025. The Quantity Surveyor will be required to review costings to date, advise on the cost implications of any variations, and to prepare a RIBA 1 Cost Estimate for inclusion in the Development Stage bid.The brief therefore requires timely and effective working within a relatively short period of time including assimilating previous outline proposals and information such that the overall proposal remains in line with anticipated requirements and scale, whilst taking the opportunity to consider this in conjunction with the client and professional team.
