Cae Ddol Playground Area RedevelopmentSpecification:As part of the Shared Prosperity Fund provided by the UK Government, Denbighshire County Council is seeking to redevelop the children's playground area at the Cae Ddol park in Ruthin. The works will include the design of the redeveloped playground, proposal of a theme connected to the town, the removal and disposal of the existing playground equipment and furniture in situ, installation of new equipment and furniture as per agreed themed design and any associated works required to facilitate these requirements.Denbighshire County Council declared a climate emergency in 2019 and a target to achieve net-zero by 2030. With Denbighshire's strategic priorities in mind all playground equipment and furniture must meet high environmentally friendly requirements. We are conscious of the long term welfare of our citizens and as such will only consider suppliers who can meet, or exceed, these requirements.We are aware that these requirements are high and as such we are issuing this Speculative Notice via Sell2Wales in order to test the market.Playground Equipment and furniture must comply with the following requirements:* All stainless steel components must contain at least 50% recycled material and be 100% recyclable upon end of life.* All steel components must contain at least 50% recycled material and be 100% recyclable upon end of life.* All HDPE components must contain at least 50% recycled material and be 100% recyclable upon end of life.* All plastic components must be 100% recyclable upon end of life.* All aluminium components must be 100% recyclable upon end of life.* All rope components must contain at least 25% recycled material.* All rubber components must contain at least 25% recycled material and be 100% recyclable upon end of life.If your company can meet the above criteria and would be interested in potentially tendering for these works please register your interest on this Speculative Notice, which will close at midday on Friday 23rd February 2024.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=138911.
