Notice Description

Conservation and renovation of 2-5 Market Hill (including the Grade II listed former Caernarfon Castle public house) Holyhead to deliver 9no. residential apartments. The project will involve partial demolition of later extensions, new extensions and complete refurbishment of the retained existing buildings.The works will include ground works and retaining walls, renewal of roof coverings, lime rendering, replacement floor slabs, new carpentry, insulating the existing envelope, new timber sash windows, conservation of existing windows, lime & gypsum plastering, replacement kitchens & bathrooms and full replacement of mechanical and electrical systems. The project targets achieving an EPC rating of B and includes the installation of solar panels.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=142689.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility. This project is anticipated to be partially grant assisted through the Holyhead Townscape Heritage Initiative with the support of the National Heritage Lottery Fund and the UK Government.In order to meet the funding requirements the contractor is to facilitate access for third party site inspections related to the grant award.(WA Ref:142689)The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
