Rhondda Cynon Taf is commissioning a hostel service. Which provide 22 units in total, over two locations - Mill Street Hostel for single individuals 18 + - The Grange Hostels is for single individuals 16-24 years of age. The hostels are for high level complex individuals that require ongoing support to live independently. The Hostels are staffed 24/7, providing flexible housing related support to help individuals alleviate homelessness, primarily for those who have been assessed as needing Medium/High Supported Accommodation as a move on pathway. The hostels will provide a Psychologically Informed Environment with staff delivering support that is designed to take into account the emotional and psychological needs of the individual.

The tender is to award a contract to a single provider that will provide hostel services in RCT region. The Contract will be to deliver services in up to 2 locations. Each hostel will be staffed 24/7. The Hostels will provide a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) with staff delivering support that is designed to take into account the emotional and psychological needs of the individual. Individuals will assess as needing medium to high level of support including mental health issue, alcohol and or substance misuse issues, offending behaviour etc.. The initial term will be for 3 years but will have extension options for anadditional 5 x 1 years taking the total contract duration to a possible 8 years.
