CAVUHB is one of the largest NHS organisations in Europe, employing approximately 17,000 staff and providing healthcare services to over 472,000 residents across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, in addition to delivering specialist services to the wider South and Mid Wales population. The contract operates under the Clinical Diagnostics and Therapeutics Clinical Board, which comprises seven directorates responsible for delivering a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures at local, national, and UK-wide levels.
