The intention to award notice was dated 31 March 2026, with a standstill period extended until midnight on 3 April 2026. The procurement process follows the Provider Selection Regime (Wales) Regulations 2025 and is exempt from the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. This notice pertains to the 'services' category and focuses on the UKL region.

This tender presents significant opportunities for growth for businesses in the healthcare sector, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises that can provide services in mental health and learning disabilities care. Companies like FERRY CARE LIMITED, PRINCIPALITY CARE LTD, STEPPING STONES RESETTLEMENT UNIT LIMITED, and FIVE OAKS CARE LIMITED have already been identified as suppliers under this framework. Suitable businesses are those that demonstrate financial stability, hold necessary insurances and certifications, and exhibit capabilities in providing similar health services. The key criteria for selection also include quality standards, competitive pricing, collaboration in service provision, and social responsibility initiatives such as community benefits. These opportunities allow businesses to expand their influence within the Welsh healthcare sector and potentially uplift their service portfolio to meet framework demands.
