Notice Description

Programme to Improve the Mental Health and Wellbeing of Young People

Lot Information

Lot 1

The NHSGGC (City) is seeking a dynamic provider to deliver a programme to improve the mental health and wellbeing and emotional resilience of young people who are negatively affected or are at risk of being affecting by poor mental health. This programme should complement the work of its own staff and many partners. The service will be targeted at young people (aged 11-18) and will be predominantly delivered in a schools setting or appropriate community venue(s). Core schools will be identified between Health Improvement, local schools and the provider. A component of the contract should be focused on targeted work which may take place within/outwith the school setting. Additionally, the service will provide input at 3 Youth Health Services in the Northwest of the city (Tues- Thurs night 7.5 hrs total). It is expected that the provider will be flexible and responsive to local need as appropriate. It is expected that flexible, culturally appropriate and inequalities-sensitive approaches will be used and that the interested organisations will demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of the pattern of inequalities in Glasgow and of the barriers in working in communities with high levels of deprivation.
