Award of Glow Meet (Adobe Connect) - Hosting and Support Services EDUC074
Notice Description
The Scottish Ministers acting through Education Scotland are seeking a Supplier to provide hosting and support services for the Glow Meet (Adobe Connect) Service. This includes the following:*Transfer of Adobe Connect licenses from existing supplier.*Hosting, management and support for an on-premise Adobe Connect solution for 1 year*Take-on of existing bespoke code providing integration with the Glow authentication service, RM Unify.The expectation is to achieve a seamless transition from the current Glow Meet to the new service.BackgroundEducation Scotland currently provide a Glow Meet Service consisting of Glow Meet and Glow TV delivered by Adobe Connect. It is used for a number of functions to deliver teaching and learning that can broadly described as:Flipped Learning - Recording of video by teachers and playback out of the classroom by pupils in own time;School 2 School National Collaboration - 2 or more Scottish schools working together on projects or as part of an on-going relationship;International Collaboration - Scottish schools working with schools overseas or in the UK on specific projects or to develop relationships;National Larger Scale Themed Collaboration - National collaborations facilitated by Education Scotland or another central body;Remote Lessons/Shared Classroom - Lessons delivered to either geographically remote classes or small schools sharing teachers;Large Events - Events involving multiple Glow and non-Glow users requiring video and audio;Ad Hoc Video Conferences - events and sessions requiring a few users or schools to meet online;On-demand Video Playback - playback of any of the recorded output of all of the uses described above.Glow Meet should not be used for standard corporate use or for sensitive inter-agency communication to discuss child safety and other non-teaching and learning uses (e.g. GIRFEC meetings.

It is used for a number of functions to deliver teaching and learning that can broadly described as:Flipped Learning - Recording of video by teachers and playback out of the classroom by pupils in own time;School 2 School National Collaboration - 2 or more Scottish schools working together on projects or as part of an on-going relationship;International Collaboration - Scottish schools working with schools overseas or in the UK on specific projects or to develop relationships;National Larger Scale Themed Collaboration - National collaborations facilitated by Education Scotland or another central body;Remote Lessons/Shared Classroom - Lessons delivered to either geographically remote classes or small schools sharing teachers;Large Events - Events involving multiple Glow and non-Glow users requiring video and audio;Ad Hoc Video Conferences - events and sessions requiring a few users or schools to meet online;On-demand Video Playback - playback of any of the recorded output of all of the uses described above.Glow Meet should not be used for standard corporate use or for sensitive inter-agency communication to discuss child safety and other non-teaching and learning uses (e.g. GIRFEC meetings.",
