WES External Experts - Materials Scientist
Notice Description
WES recently launched their third Call, for Research and Development into 'Structural Materials and Manufacturing Processes', on the 18th of July 2016, details of which can be located on PCS. Each application to the call will require to be evaluated by a panel of individuals with the relevant technical skills and experience, to determine the projects which merit support. WES are therefore seeking a number of individuals to support the evaluation process for the current call only with the requirements being divided in to 4 specific specialisms (as follows), each being advertised as separate contracts notices through PCS/OJEU: Structural Engineers, Materials Scientists, Materials Manufacturing Specialists and Wave Energy Specialists. "description": "This Contract is exempt from the requirements of The Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014, The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 and The Procurement Scotland Regulations 2016 but is being published in the OJEU and PCS on a voluntary basis to ensure circulation to as wide an audience as possible. WES are therefore not bound by the timescales or any other requirements of the Regulations and will conduct this tender exercise as set out in the accompanying documents, or as otherwise indicated by WES to all parties who have recorded an interest in relation to this process. Bidders who are interested in submitting a response for one of the specialisms can do so by locating the relevant PCS/OJEU contract notice which contains 'WES External Experts' in the description. In order to participate in the tender bidders should register, for free, on the Public Contracts Scotland PCS) website (www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk), record their interest in this contract and download and complete all relevant documentation. This free process also gives suppliers access to an on line Question & Answer facility which allows queries to be submitted (anonymously), and answers published and shared with all potential bidders. Tenders must be submitted via the PCS Postbox and be received by the date and time indicated with all questions answered. Hard copy responses will not be accepted, other than for return of the signed Confidentiality and Non Disclosure Undertaking. The Value detailed in II.1.5 is an estimate only and will be dependent on the number of individuals appointed. Dates and other information contained in this notice are communicated as being indicative only and may be subject to change. WES will not be liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in or tendering for this contract.
