Modern Apprenticeship Programme
Notice Description
As one of the largest employers in the Scotland, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHS GGC) has made a commitment to support the recruitment of young people via its Modern Apprenticeship programme. Since its establishment in 2013 the NHS GGC MA programme has recruited over 100 apprentices across a broad range of frameworks. In a workforce planning context it is essential that NHSGGC can attract and retain young people with the skills required to deliver high quality services to our patient population. Not only do apprenticeships enhance the diversity of our workforce but also our ability to respond to the future needs of the service by developing a skilled workforce through on-the-job learning and qualifications aligned to national occupational standards.

NHS GGC intends to appoint up to 75 modern apprentices in 2017 within a broad range of our hospital, community and corporate services across our large catchment area. This covers six local authority areas including: Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and East Renfrewshire.
