Procurement Information

The NanoString nCounter Analysis System uses a novel digital technology that is based on direct multiplexed measurement of gene expression and offers high levels of sensitivity (<1 copy per cell) and precision. The technology uses molecular barcodes and single molecule imaging to detect and count hundreds of unique transcripts in a single reaction. The nCounter Analysis System is an integrated platform comprised of a fully automated prep station, a digital analyzer, the CodeSet (barcodes) and all of the reagents and consumables needed to perform the analysis. The nCounter Analysis System enables highly sensitive detection and quantification of gene expression from a variety of sample types including direct measurement from purified total RNA, cell and tissue lysates, and RNA extracted from FFPE samples, and whole blood. Furthermore, the nCounter now offers the opportunity to do 3D analysis, permitting accurate quantification of RNA, DNA, and protein from the same, a totally unique feature
