The services being tendered are for the provision of taxi and minibus passenger transport services: vehicles with a capacity of 16 passenger seats or less. The majority of contract use will be generated by Public Transport Unit (PTU) for provision of home to school transport services including: - Additional Support Needs - Homeless - Medical - Mainstream (areas unserved by scheduled large bus services) - Campus (school to school) West Lothian Council wishes to establish a four year framework agreement. Call -off contracts will be awarded under the framework agreement by either the direct award or mini competition procurement route. Contracts may be awarded for any period, up to a maximum of five years in total, reflecting the needs of council and pupil.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 ( Exclusion grounds) of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. Police Scotland will be consulted with regards to Serious and Organised Crime checks. Any links to this type of activity may cause your tender to be rejected.
