Notice Description

The Greenhills Road/A726 Strathaven Road Corridor Improvements project is an infrastructure project to be delivered under the Glasgow City Region City Deal. The project is to widen to a dual carriageway, the existing Greenhills Road between the Torrance Roundabout and Langlands West Roundabout and the A726 Strathaven Road between Torrance Roundabout and the junction at High Common Road. The works involve major earthworks (including soil modification/stabilisation, drainage, carriageway construction, major retaining structures, street lighting, noise structures and landscaping.

The contract will be awarded using the Restricted Process. It is anticipated that the contract will be issued using the NEC3 ECC option C. The contract will include provision for the use of company guarantee, retention bond and performance bond.. The selection process is anticipated to start May 2017. Tender process is anticipated to start August 2017. Contract award is anticipated January 2018. Construction start is anticipated March 2018 with a construction period of 60 weeks.
