Summary of the contracting process

Argyll and Bute Council is conducting a tender process for the "Helensburgh Waterfront Development Design Team" to engage professional services for stages 3 to 7 of the Helensburgh Waterfront Development Contract. This project, centred in Helensburgh, will include the construction of a new 25m, 6-lane swimming pool and leisure facility, alongside associated infrastructure such as a car park, public realm, and flood defences. The procurement is at the planning stage, with a tender submission deadline set for 3rd May 2017. The procurement method employed is a selective process using a restricted procedure, with an allocated budget of £500,000.

This tender presents significant opportunities for design and consultancy firms, particularly those specialising in leisure and public infrastructure projects. Companies with experience in delivering similar large-scale developments and compliant with relevant legislation will find this procurement particularly suited to their capabilities. Additionally, businesses eager to engage in community benefits, such as providing jobs, training, and social initiatives, may enhance their proposals and stand a better chance of being awarded the contract.
