Summary of the contracting process

Waverley Housing is undertaking a public procurement process for the "2017-2018 External Cyclical Maintenance Painterwork" contract, focusing on external painting and decoration services for approximately 300 properties throughout the Scottish Borders. The procurement, classified under the housing and community amenities category, is currently in the Award stage. This three-lot tender permits bidders to apply for one or more distinct areas, with contracts to be completed within four working weeks for each lot, beginning on 17th July 2017. Key dates include the bid opening on 19th June 2017, and the submission deadline was set for 12:00 noon on the same day.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the painting and decorating industry, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as Waverley Housing has actively aimed to reduce barriers for them. Potential bidders ideally include contractors with experience in external cyclical maintenance and the capacity to handle multiple projects within a tight timeframe. Participants should also have the requisite turnover and insurance levels, ensuring compliance with Waverley Housing's standards and expectations outlined in the tender documents.
