Launched in March 2017, the ILES call is designed to support and accelerate the development and delivery of innovative, local low carbon energy opportunities across Scotland. In particular, it aims to support solutions in rural and remote parts of Scotland, smaller towns and settlements and areas that are off gas grid. This is in line with the ambitions set out on Local Energy within the Scottish Government's draft Energy StrategyThe purpose of this tender is to put in place a detailed and independent financial and technical due diligence process to assess the financial and technical readiness of the projects seeking capital support through the call.
