Expressions of interest are sought from Care Providers to work in collaboration with Health and Social Care to deliver a 24 hour support service to one individual with complex needs and challenging behaviour.

Lot Information

Lot 1

The individual being supported will require 24 hour care including wakened night and sleepovers within a rural area. The individual will require access to education and their days need to be structured. The individual will require approximately 14 staff overall to allow for days off/absence etc. Staff require to have an understanding of: Attachment theory; Learning difficulties; Autism; Trauma. The individual is currently subject to a Compulsory Supervision Order with a condition of residence within secure care. The individual has had several placements throughout the years.. The Provider may be required to assist the Council in identifying suitable accommodation for the individual.

In the first instance, interested Providers are required to record their interest in the PIN and email nmcnaught@north-ayrshire.gcsx.gov.uk for a copy of the individual's pen picture no later than 17th August 2017 at 12:00 noon. Based on the individual's pen picture, Providers must submit an outline proposal of how they could meet and deliver a service to the individual to nmcnaught@north-ayrshire.gcsx.gov.uk no later than 1st September 2017 at 12:00 noon detailing: Relevant experience of delivering a similar service to individual(s) with complex needs and challenging behaviour; How will appropriate staffing levels be utilised; How you will meet the needs and outcomes of the individual; Whether or not you may have suitable accommodation for the individual to reside; Any other relevant information to support your proposal. The Provider will be required to be suitably registered with the Care Inspectorate to deliver the service.
