Appointment of a Consultant for Non-Domestic Rates
Notice Description
Stirling Council is looking to award a contract for the provision of consultancy relating to a range of non-domestic rating issues.
Lot Information
Lot 1
Stirling Council is seeking to appoint a specialist rating consultant to provide first class professional advice, guidance, and assistance on a range of non-domestic rating issues. This will assist with the Council's comprehensive and proactive strategy to mitigate changes in liability arising from the forthcoming 2017 Rating Revaluation, as well as material changes of circumstances, new buildings and alterations. The Council wishes to appeal the revised Rateable Value assessments for all operational and non-operational properties, including vacant properties, with a view to achieving the maximum possible reduction in the Council's financial liability. In addition, the Council may be required to submit further appeals due to material change of circumstance or the completion/acquisition of new buildings during the period of the Contract. The successful consultant will also be expected to provide ad hoc rating advice and guidance as required during the period of the appointment.
Renewal: Permissible extensions: 2 X 24 months
