Notice Description

To appoint an architectural practice capable of managing and delivering multi-disciplinary projects for an arts and social organisation. The contract will be as follows: - a. To prepare a concept design up to the level of RIBA Workstage 2 to enable a bid to be made to Big Lottery for the renovation of the Kinning Park Complex building and, b. If the bid is successful, to move forward the concept design from RIBA Work Stage 3 through to 6 and handover of the completed project to Kinning Park Complex.

Lot 1

To appoint an architectural practice capable of managing and delivering multi-disciplinary projects for an arts and social organisation. The contract will be as follows: - a. To prepare a concept design up to the level of RIBA Workstage 2 to enable a bid to be made to Big Lottery for the renovation of the Kinning Park Complex building and, b. If the bid is successful, to move forward the concept design from RIBA Work Stage 3 through to 6 and handover of the completed project to Kinning Park Complex. Kinning Park Complex require proposals for the building to reflect 3 different budget levels to inform their decision on what levels of grant and fundraising effort will be required to complete their planned renovation. This will then permit their application for grants to be prepared. Each option should be clear about what can be provided for the following budget levels: - -Option 1 - Assume a maximum budget of GBP600,000 -Option 2 - Assume a maximum budget of GBP1,000,000 -Option 3 - assume a maximum budget of GBP1,400,000 -Consider on all options whether a full or partial decant is possible It is anticipated that the services required will include: - -Architectural services -Structural engineering -Quantity surveying -Project management -Electrical and mechanical services -Other specialised services such as wood treatment, energy advice etc. as required.
