Award of Upper Langlee Regeneration Project
Notice Description
The primary aim of this Masterplan Brief is to guide the preparation of a comprehensive, detailed and fully costed feasibility and masterplan study to create high quality housing development and area regeneration that will bring about a cohesive vision for the redevelopment of the study area in Galashiels, in the context of the existing surrounding settlement and recently delivered and planned new housing developments by other Housing Associations in the wider area.The study area is part of the wider Langlee Housing estate which is the largest social housing estate in Galashiels. It was built by the former Galashiels Town Council and Scottish Special Housing Association (SSHA) in a number of phases during the 1960s and 1970s. Consequently it contains a number of sub neighbourhoods and communities. As a result of large scale voluntary stock transfer activity, Waverley Housing and Scottish Borders Housing Association (SBHA) now own the social rented housing stock within the area.

As a result of large scale voluntary stock transfer activity, Waverley Housing and Scottish Borders Housing Association (SBHA) now own the social rented housing stock within the area.",
