Award of Further Competition for a Confocal Microscope

Notice Description

We would like to purchase a confocal microscope to replace/trade in an existing Zeiss LSM510 confocal. This will initially be a standard / compact 'work-horse' confocal system to be used for imaging both fixed specimens and live cells/tissues. We plan to retro fit the system with additional advanced imaging modalities one to two years after purchase. The specification is more particularly described in the attached Specification of Requirements. The equipment will be located at: CALM Imaging Facility, Centre for Inflammation Research, Queen's Medical Research Institute, The University of Edinburgh, 47 Little France Crescent, Edinburgh EH16 4TJ. Bidders are invited to visit the site to assess access, space and services availability; and also assess the condition of the redundant equipment.
