"description": "EL - 10m PL - 5m PI - 1m The Employer reserves the right to appoint specialist advisors to input into the project at any time. The Contractor shall liaise with these advisors and provide relevant information and access as required. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for the development and completion of the Design for the whole of the Works as described in the Employer's Requirements, the co-ordination of their Design and issue of the working/production drawings (including as built information). The Contractor is to assume the roles and responsibilities of Principal Contractor as defined in the Construction (Design Management) Regulations 2015. For the avoidance of doubt, the Contractor shall comply with all relevant legislation, while carrying out the Works, including but not limited to: Environmental Protection Act 1990; Environmental Protection (Duty of Care) Regulations 1991; Landfill (Scotland) Regulations 2003; Special Waste Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2004; Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations (WEEE) 2005; Environmental Permitting Regulations 2007; Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009; and Waste (Scotland) Regulations 2012. The new lighting schemes shall be designed and installed in accordance with all relevant British and European Standards and shall consider all relevant CIBSE Publications. Statutory and Regulatory requirements: The installation shall be fully compliant with all current statutory and regulatory standards related to the product and application. Particular attention shall be paid to the following: Electrical lamps and luminaires offered as part of this tender must comply with the requirements set out in schedule 1 of The Eco-Design for Energy- Related Products Regulations 2010 and only products that comply with the relevant energy efficiency benchmarks for that product may be offered under this contract. For further information see link to The Energy- Related Products Regulations 2010; http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2010/2617/contents/made; All lighting products shall be designed and manufactured to BS EN 60598-1:2008, suitably IP rated with an appropriate CE mark; All light fittings shall comply with BS EN 60838-1:2004+A2:2011; Visual comfort shall be in conformance with best practice identified in BS EN 12464 Part 1:2011 and Part 2:2007, and the CIBSE publication 'Human Factors in Lighting; All lighting installations shall meet the requirements of current CIBSE lighting guidelines and the Carbon trust Lighting Technology Overview - CTV021; LED Lighting shall comply with BS EN 62031:2008, and be of the appropriate colour for the task performed; Where approved for use, fluorescent lamps shall comply with BS EN 60081:1998+A4:2010 and BS EN 60838-2-2:2006+A1:2012 and be of the appropriate colour for the task performed; All lighting units shall comply with the requirements of the current Energy Technology List, unless otherwise approved by the Employer; The emergency lighting system shall be designed, installed and tested to comply with BS 5266 Parts 1:2011, 7:1999 and 8:2004; IEC 61000 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) - Generally; IEC 61000-3-2 \"Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) - Part 3-2: Limits - Limits for harmonic current emissions (equipment input current = 16 A per phase) - Class 3; BS EN 60947 Parts 1-8 - Specification for low voltage switch gear and control gear; The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005; and All LED light sources (drivers and arrays) shall have THD < 10% on full load.
