Summary of the contracting process

The Common Services Agency, also known as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), has initiated a tender for "Vehicle Hire & Associated Services," aimed at providing hire cars, light commercial vehicles, and associated services to NHS Scotland Health Boards and Special Health Boards, among others. The procurement is currently in the active stage, with a tender deadline of 21 December 2017. The anticipated value of this framework agreement is estimated at £2,020,000 over a potential four-year term, and the procurement is being conducted through an open procedure.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specializing in vehicle hire and associated services, particularly those with experience in catering to public sector clients such as healthcare providers. Companies that can demonstrate their capacity to meet the requirements outlined in the tender documentation, including compliance with community benefits criteria, will be well-suited to compete. As the framework aims to award contracts to a maximum of three suppliers, businesses in this sector should consider this an excellent chance to expand their client base within the NHS and affiliated organisations in Scotland.
