Notice Description

To provide therapeutic counselling in the border counties of the Republic of Ireland, Fighting Blindness seeks to establish a panel of counselling psychotherapists (counsellors). The panel of counsellors will be used on a call off basis to provide face-to-face counselling for clients of all ages, including children and young people (eleven years plus), under the Need To Talk (NTT) initiative in the counties of Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan and Louth.

Need To Talk (NTT) is a cross border counselling, confidence building and peer support programme for socially isolated people with sight loss across Northern Ireland (NI), Ayrshire & Arran, part of Highlands & Islands in Western Scotland (WSc) and the Border Counties of the Republic of Ireland (BCI). NTT is supported by the European Union's INTERREG VA Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The Need to Talk counselling and confidence building initiative will be delivered through partnership between RNIB NI and Scotland, and Fighting Blindness in the Republic of Ireland.
