Notice Description

Accountant in Bankruptcy (AiB) is an Executive Agency of the Scottish Government (SG) with responsibility for administering the process of personal bankruptcy and Trust Deeds, administering the Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS) and recording corporate insolvencies in Scotland. The Agency operates independently and impartially whilst remaining directly accountable to Scottish Ministers.AiB is committed to modernising and updating Bankruptcy law and Bankruptcy services in Scotland to ensure that it can effectively address the challenges society faces today. The Agency seeks to develop a service for debt advice, debt management and debt relief which is fit for the 21st century.In an effort to achieve this ambition, AiB has committed to investing in updating its existing IT systems to ensure that maximum efficiencies are realised. AiB therefore have a requirement for further development of the BASYS and ASTRA systems, development of retention and destruction procedures and work relating to a possible SAGE replacement.
