Notice Description

The aim of the project is to compile an inventory of existing high rise housing accommodation across both public and private sectors. It will determine the existing active and passive fire safety measures and where fitted cladding systems.

Lot 1

The objectives of the project are: - to determine the active and passive fire safety measures present in existing high rise housing accommodation - to provide data to the SG which will be used by the MWG to consider the retrofitting of sprinklers or alternative measures - to determine if the existing structure has been over clad using an External Wall Insulation System (EWI) - where over cladding has been carried out determine when and what type of over cladding system has been used, and - present data to enable future digitalisation and development of a live register which will be taken forward as a separate project.
