In a residential setting II. In family based care (akin to foster care) III. Within the family home IV. 'Escort/Mentor' to support the children and young people to attend mainstream activities. Examples would be Brownies, drama groups, swimming, playparks etc (this is not an exhaustive list) There is also a requirement for the following provision V. Access to an emergency resource for up to 72 hours to support care planning; the resource may be options I-III above VI. Intensive support for a period of up to 12 weeks, in an emergency or planned situation. Intensive support MAY be overnight care for up to 3 nights per week from within options I-III above. The purpose of this is: - a) to prevent the child becoming looked after longer term and b) to support the family through the period of crisis VII. Support parents/carers to explore alternative strategies to manage the complex needs of their child. In order to offer the above range of support services to children, young people and their families, the existing balance of overnight provision in a residential setting should reduce at an agreed percentage by developing community supports, these developments will take place over the lifetime of the contract. Organisations noting an interest must be able to deliver a registered care service for overnight provision from 1st October 2018. As this service is currently being delivered, TUPE may apply. All companies able to meet the requirements stated above within the expected timescales should express interest in this notice. The deadline for expressing interest is 14th November 2017.
