Summary of the contracting process

The North Ayrshire Council is currently undertaking a tender for the "Adult Respite Service," aimed at providing essential support for individuals with learning disabilities and their caregivers in Beith, Ayrshire. This procurement process is being conducted through an open procedure, with the tender submission deadline set for 19 December 2017. The contract, valued at £1,704,404, aims to deliver services from a purpose-built facility operating 24/7. As this is an active tender procedure, all interested parties should be aligned with the necessary requirements as outlined by the council.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses in the healthcare and social services sectors, particularly those with expertise in providing respite care and support for vulnerable individuals. Companies with a robust track record in similar service provisions, excellent insurance coverage, and the required professional qualifications will be well-positioned to compete. The initiative also emphasises community benefits, suggesting that local suppliers committed to enhancing community welfare may have an advantage in their proposals.
