Notice Description

East Renfrewshire Council will shortly be issuing tender documents as it seeks to appoint a qualified and experienced contractor to undertake the final phase of roof renewal works at the Thornliebank Depot. The works will also include some ventilation works to the garage. The works to be carried out by the successful contractor include but are not limited to the removal of existing profiled sheeting containing asbestos material together with polycarbonate roof lights; protection of existing lighting and fire protection; complete re-roofing works and associated roof lights; and upgrade of the existing main vehicular garage ventilation system to comply with current standards. Works will also potentially include for the installation of a new lighting protection system as well as surge protection (given that the new roof will be completely metal rather than previous asbestos based roof sheet).
